Maine in New York?

With thanks to Frank Barrie, we would note that the Maine State Grange has a link from a review of an exhibit of photos of Grange Halls in New York. Check out this post on the website Knowwhereyourfoodcomesfrom.com!

Center for Environmental Art and Sciences

We have been contacted by Mary Warming, who recently moved back to Maine from Berlin, Germany. She is looking for a Grange or other beautiful, historic building that is mostly unused and could serve as a home base for this venture – either for a month at a time or a building that can be used indefinitely. While in Europe, she created exhibitions in historic buildings on themes of ecosystem regeneration. Check out her information at www.artscienceexhibits.com or call 207 810-9913 to learn more and explore the opportunity.

Ideas for Granges

Before the weather turns, how about keeping things simple and hosting an “old-fashioned Grange Picnic?” Keep it simple by providing the location and opportunity–make it a BYOP (bring your own picnic) event that’s all about fun. Can you offer some games for the kids?

Grange Heirloom Program

Don’t forget the resource page for you on the MSG Website! It’s a work in progress. Our goal is to have these “Grange Heirlooms” readily available for you to use in a variety of ways.

Thought for You…

“The time to worry is three months before a flight. Decide then whether or not the goal is worth the risks involved. If it is, stop worrying. To worry is to add another hazard.”

Amelia Earhart

Do You Have FOMO?

“FOMO” is, of course, a Fear Of Missing Out. One strongly recommended treatment is to subscribe to the Maine State Grange Website. We’ll send you a daily summary whenever news and columns are posted, and we won’t share your email address with anyone!

Note that when you subscribe to the Maine State Grange Website, we do not share your email address with others and only use it to send you–at the most–one email per day when new information is posted.
