Recent issues of the Bulletin can be found on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mainestategrange.org\/?page_id=9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Program Books and Information Page<\/a>&nbsp;in the communications section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Having a Raffle?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raffles (gambling) are heavily regulated, and licensing is required! That&#8217;s easy to forget when fundraising because Granges usually fall under some exceptions provided in Maine Law. One exception is raffles where the prizes are less than $2,500. A second exception involves &#8220;certain organizations,&#8221; including &#8220;an agricultural society.&#8221; It can get complicated, particularly if the raffle is conducted as an &#8220;internet raffle.&#8221; While we, MSG, will promote your raffle, we are not assuming responsibility for meeting these legal requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/legislature.maine.gov\/statutes\/17\/title17sec1832.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Title 17, Chapter 62, Section 1832<\/a> (&#8220;Games of Chance&#8221;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/legislature.maine.gov\/statutes\/17\/title17sec1837-A.html\">Title 17, Chapter 62, Section 1837<\/a> (specific to raffles)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dates and Deadlines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fall is coming. Some might say it&#8217;s already here. With the start of another Grange Fiscal Year, essential dates and deadlines abound! <strong>Just one example is that roster information is now due!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annual Purge Begins<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ve already started removing dated information from the website. This includes documents, posts, and photos. While some things are considered timeless, a general policy is to remove items that are more than two years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Think About This!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Act as if what you do makes a difference.
