On Friday, April 17, the Intergalactic Yurt Band will be performing a concert at Danville Junction Grange #65, Old Danville Road and Grange Street in Auburn, at 7 p.m. Admission is $5. Homemade pie and beverage will be sold during intermission. This is a musical event to benefit the Danville Junction Grange Dictionary Fund. This year we distributed dictionaries to over 350 third graders in Auburn and Gray/New Gloucester. It promises to be a “toe-tapping” event
Fifth Degree, Sagadahoc Pomona
Fifth Degree at Sagadahoc Pomona on April 29
Sagadahoc Pomona Grange will be doing the Fifth Degree on Wednesday evening, April 29. We begin with a pot luck supper at 6 p.m., and the meeting and degree beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting at Enterprise Grange in Richmond that evening.
If your Grange has candidates for the degree, we would be happy to have them join us. Please be sure they have proper credentials to take the degree.
Several guest officers will assist on the degree team, with Sister Laurie McBurney acting as Master. Those on the degree team are reminded that there will be a rehearsal on Sunday, April 26.

Highland Lake Community Service Night
HiHghland Lake #87 Community Service Night, May 7th at 7pm. Open meeting recognizing Mr. David Collins with annual community service award. Well known and extremely active in Westbrook, David Collins will be presented the award with friends and associates from the many organizations he works with in attendance. Membership certificates will also be presented to several Highland Lake Grange members who have served the Grange for many years. Refreshments will follow. Saturday, April 11th 4:45 to 6:00. Roast turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, string beans, home-made cranberry sauce, bread, cake, beverages. $8 adults, $4 children 12 and under. Bake table sale.
Come join us for great comfort food! Proceeds benefit the Grange and it’s activities.
Note that if there is a large early crowd, we will open the dining room earlier than 4:45 to try to avoid long waits.
Chelsea Grange Jam Session
Chelsea Grange will be hosting a Country Jam Session on Sunday, April 12 from 1-3:30. Admission is free. The event is sponsored by the Chelsea Senior Citizens. This event has been growing and attracting participants and audience. Chelsea grange is located on Route 226 a few miles past Togus, VA Center.
White Rock Grange Service Award
White rock Grange Number 380 Service award/Open Meeting On Friday, May 1 at 7 PM White rock will honor our retired chief of police Ron Shepard, after 39 years of service to our community.
State master Vicky Hufff Will bestow on three members 60, 70, and 80 years of membership to our Grange.
Entertainment will be by John Ford retired Game warden and Mark Nickerson retired state police. Both have published entertaining books which will be available.
Refreshments will be served.
Free will donations at the door, the monies to be used for the replacement of our front steps.
Wilson Grange Supper
This month’s Passport dinner dreams of a trip to Paris. We are basing our menu and recipes on Julia Child’s suggestions:

- Boeuf Bourguignonne
- Buttered Noodles
- Peas
- French bread (Of Course!)
- Strawberry and Apple Crêpes with Assorted Toppings
The vegetarian option will be a Vegetable Quiche. After the dinner we will be showing the movie “Julie and Julia”.

W Bath Seaside Grange Supper
West Bath Seaside Grange #592 will celebrate Grange Month with a public supper. It will be on Saturday, April 18th, from 4:30 to 6:30. Honored guests will be former members of West Bath Grange #154.
Halcyon Grange Educational Series
Halcyon Grange in No. Blue Hill will host the third talk in its winter educational series on Wednesday, March 25th at 7 pm in the Howard Room at the Blue Hill Public Library. G.W. Martin will speak about skills for northern people to be well prepared and resilient in winter months. He will talk about resources available from our woods, greenhouse building for energy and heating, food production, bio-gassification and neighborliness within community. Refreshments provided.
