Valley Grange Community Night

Friday, May 15 Valley Grange sponsors Community Night with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. followed by a program at 7 p.m. Program will include recognition of several long time members and announcement of Valley Grange’s Annual Community Citizen of the Year. Wayside Grange Supper

Bangor Grange Community Night

An exciting Community Citizens Night coming up on Tuesday, May 12th at 6PM! This will be a public event where we will be honoring a veterinarian, a police officer, and two young boys for their services to the community. There will be music by members of the Maine Country Music Association, and great refreshments. Come see what we’re all about at the historic Bangor Grange hall, 1192 Ohio Street!

Farmington Grange Features “Racket Factory”

The Racket Factory will be performing a benefit concert for Farmington Grange#12 on Friday, May 1st, at 7:00 at the Grange Hall on Bridge  St. in West Farmington. The program will be an eclectic mix of songs from a variety of genres interspersed with instrumental fiddle tunes from the New England, French Canadian, Scandinavian, Celtic and Old Time traditions. A long established band with members Cynthia Phinney, Margaret Cox, Mark Raines, Eric Johnson and Hank Washburn.

The musical evening will begin with a set by “Ragged Robin.”  Ruth Hill, local singer sing-writer, joined by Wendy Oakley and Hank Washburn.

Tickets are $8 in advance, available at the Winter Farmer’s Market on Saturday, 9-12 in the Grange Hall, or call 778-2932, $10 at the door.

Refreshments will be served by the Grange.

Proceeds to go toward hall improvements including refinishing the main floor.

Degree Day, Danville Junction Grange

A Degree Day will be held on Sunday, April 19, at Danville Junction Grange #65, Old Danville Road and Grange Street in Auburn, at 4 p.m.  The degrees will be conferred by members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange #1.  A light luncheon for a small fee will be served between the second and third degrees.  Any Grange having candidates is welcome to bring them.  They should be there by 3:45.  All Grange members are welcome to attend.

No furniture, please. All donations become property of Garland Grange. Garland Grange Hall is located on the Oliver Hill Road in Garland.

Fiber Arts at Ammadamast Grange

Ammadamast Grange at 46 Lowell Road in Enfield is celebrating on Saturday, April 25, from 12:30 – 4:30 with an open house and our first Fiber Arts Day. Fiber Arts is the art of working with raw materials through creative processes that change the raw material into finished items or art pieces. Artisans from around the area will be demonstrating a variety of activities which include spinning, needle felting, rug hooking, rug braiding, quilting, tatting, knitting, crocheting, thread painting, stitching. There will be displays throughout the building including one from our local 4-H chapter, paintings from local artists who are members of Ammadamast Grange painting group, hand-made and home-made quilts, and some “tools of the trade”. This event should be interesting to all ages. It is free to the public and pie and coffee will be served. Bring your family and friends and join us for a fun afternoon at Ammadamast Grange.
