Parkman Grange Halloween Party

Saturday, October 31 Parkman Grange will host a Halloween Party from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  The party will include pizza, candy, and some surprises! A $3 admission will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Parkman Grange is located at the four corners in Parkman. Wilson Grange Dinner

To all of  Wilson Grange pastport  dinners guest. We will be putting on a Harvest Supper on Oct. 9th, starting @ 6PM. This will be a meal of vegetables from the Give Peas a Chance Garden and Grange members gardens. We will have ham for the meat of the day.  We will have several selections of sweets for desert. The price for the supper is still only $12.

Wilson Grange has a new contact person for all meal functions. Nancy Couture will now by handling reservations and other concerns pertaining to dinners.  She can be reached by Wilson Grange email or by phone @ 645-3342.

Hopefully the Grange will be able to keep the hall open thru the winter with dinners and other functions. If anyone is interested in renting the hall, please contact Barber Holt @ 645-2992.

Androscoggin Pomona

Androscoggin Pomona Grange #1 will meet on Wednesday October 7 at West Minot Grange.  The Grange is located at the corner of Routes 119 & 124 in Minot.  There will be a 6:30 $5.00 supper and 7:30pm meeting.  During the meeting the Officer’s will confer the 5th Degree also called the Degree of Pomona.  They expect to have around 10 candidates for the Degree.  Members will also be selecting delegates to attend the upcoming 142nd Annual Session of the Maine State Grange later this month.  Also at this meeting there will be 50/50 raffle, door prize & attendance drawing  All Grange members are welcome to attend.  For more information contact Steven Haycock at Granger04071@aol.com or 998-2586.

Students will arrive at the Valley Grange Hall at 12:30 p.m. for a short presentation and leave with each clutching his or her own dictionary. Wayside Grange Concert

Saturday, October 24 Wayside Grange sponsors a concert at 7:00 p.m. by The Doughty Hill Band with an engaging mix of bluegrass, folk, rock, Irish, and blues with tight harmonies and virtuoso leads.  Doughty Hill band includes locals Sid Stutzman (guitar), Dawn Potter (fiddle), Brian Smith (bass) and Dan Sharrow (percussion). Valley Grange Safety Fair

Friday, October 16 area families are invited to attend a community potluck supper at Valley Grange from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Bring a dish to share! Supper will include a “Family Safety Fair” featuring information and resources for keeping families safe. At 7:15 p.m. “Mr. Boomsma” will present the NRA’s Eddie Eagle Gun Safety Program a gun accident prevention program that seeks to help parents, law enforcement, community groups and educators navigate a topic paramount to our children’s safety. Eddie and his Wing Team are on a mission to help you teach Pre-K through 4th graders what to do if they ever come across a gun. Valley Grange is located at 172 Guilford Center Road in Guilford. Wayside Supper

Saturday, October 10 Wayside Grange will serve a meatloaf supper from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with live music. Garland Contra Dance

Friday, October 9 Garland Grange will hold a Family Contra Dance from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at their hall on Oliver Hill Road. Admission is $7.00 person, $12.00 per family.
