Documents you asked for…

We’ve tried to organize documents you might be looking for… these pages are currently being redesigned so be a little patient. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, remember we can only post information we receive.

One of the most common requests we get is the location of specific Granges… we’re making available a basic Maine State Grange Directory that you can view or print… it includes all Granges in Maine listed by Pomona, by grange name, and by town name. Please note this is based on the 2011 Roster and as such may not reflect current information.

You’ll find Program Books and Information listed by Committee/Office. This is probably a great place to start. You’ll find, for example, membership applications listed under the Membership Committee, Fair Guidelines under Agriculture, etc.

You’ll find past issues of MSG Bulletins (monthly newsletters) available by date.

You’ll find Miscellaneous Documents including things like the Maine State Grange Bylaws and website policy. If you can’t find it elsewhere, look here!

You can also access Journals of Proceedings from previous State Conferences.

We’ll also include forms and paperwork for secretaries as they become available. Remember also that there are a number of documents and resources available on the National Grange Website… we won’t duplicate those here, so check out what’s there!

  1. Please forward to me either applications for membership or a site where I can print them off.

    Thank you
    E. Morin, Parkman Grange #305

    • Hopefully we can do both! We’ll arrange for some to be mailed to you… and hope to have a copy available here soon! Thanks… glad you need them!

  2. Would it be possible to post judging forms for the contests? As an occasional contestant, I’d like to know what the criteria is before submitting. I know the forms may change or are put out later than the program handbook. Thanks!

    • Thanks, Lisa… most of the contest information should be in either the 2011 program book or the lecturer’s handbook (both are available in the “Documents you asked for” section… I’m not aware of any changes this year. If you need something specific, let me know and I’ll try to find it for you.

  3. When you are able to post the Membership Application Form on-line, I would like to suggest that you revise the form to include a line for email as well as a line for “Mailing Address” and “Physical Address”. It would also be helpful to have more generous spacing between the lines to facilitate writing in the information.

  4. As Master of Halcyon Grange in Blue Hill I would like to ba able to contact other Grange Masters in the area. Is there a roster available?

    Thanks,

    John

    • John,

You can contact the Worthy Master of Rosier Rainbow Grange by email at rosier rainbowatyahoodotcom, mailing addresss is Oakly Clifford, 35 Wrong Way Rd, Harborside, ME 04642 and his home phone number is 326-9599.

  5. My husband and I are thinking about joining Grange #321, Wilson Grange. What is the cost to join the grange?

    Thanks.

    Eileen M. Adams

  6. I am not sure where to address my question. I have a person who wants to rejoin the Grange after several decades of lapsed membership. …Is there a document source i could go to or who at the State Grange would handle this inasmuch as there seems to be no email address for such inquiries?

    • Thanks, Larry… we are checking on this and you should receive a direct reply. According to the National Digest:

6.9.11 Former members, may, upon application, accompanied by proof of previous membership and the payment of the prescribed fee, be admitted to membership in any Subordinate Grange in whose jurisdiction they may reside, by a majority vote of the grange.

Also, I am in the process of updating the officers list with names, email addresses and phone numbers. A question like this would probably be best addressed to the secretary or membership chairs.

  7. Where can I get an updated ROSTER?

  8. In reference to the Communication Handbook. I went the the National Grange web page but did not find a download for the manual. I did not find one on the Maine Grange site either. Where could I obtain a copy of the Communications Handbook and Workbook?
    Thank you,

    • In order to access the Handbook and other resources, you need to be on what is considered the “members’ side” of the National Site. This requires registering and logging in… You might try that–once you’re logged in the downloads are fairly easy to find. If you continue to have difficulty let me know and I’ll see if I can get you some help or more specific instructions. I do know others have had trouble finding the downloads because they were on the “public” side of the site and once they registered the found everything.

  9. A question for the AG Committee. Is there going to be a meeting for fair booth judges as we had last year? I’m looking forward to judging again. Thanks, Cynthia Maxwell 16 Tenth St. Auburn, Me. 04210 207-740-2741
