Maine State Junior Grange #17 met in May. During craft time Juniors worked on entries for the Bird Feeder contest constructed from soda bottles. Todd did a great job as Master for the Junior Grange meeting. After the meeting, all present participated in an intense indoor bocce game followed by lunch. My appreciation to the subordinate members present for your support and assistance.
Junior Camp will take place Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 with an optional session Friday evening, June 26. Information packets have been mailed to all Junior Grange members. If you would like a packet, please contact Laurie McBurnie or check the Maine State Grange website under the program books tab.
All youngsters ages 5-14 are welcome to attend Junior Camp. Those not already members and those who have not yet been obligated will have the opportunity to become official members. As always parents and grandparents, whether or not Grangers, are welcome to attend the meeting on Sunday afternoon.
As spring and summer approach, so does the time to honor those Grange members who have passed. Grange Memorial Flags ($7) and a limited number of Grange Flag Holders ($30) are available from Jr. Director Laurie McBurnie and Jr. Committee members Norma Meserve, Roberta Meserve and CJ Stinson-Roy.
