As I researched for something appropriate to post on the occasion of Veteran’s Day, I happened on this quote, attributed to Lieutenant General Lews Burwell “Chesty” Puller–the most decorated Marine in history.
Allright, they’re on our left, they’re on our right, they’re in front of us, they’re behind us… they can’t get away this time!
As we go about our business today there will be veterans all around us. Don’t let them get away. Shake their hands, give them a smile, and say a word of thanks.y, Puller also is quoted,
We’re surrounded. That simplifies our problems.
How fortunate we are to be surrounded by our troops and veterans. How many more problems would we have if we weren’t! Shake their hands, give them a smile, and say a word of thanks.
